“Measures against violence in the name of honour”

Project period: 2004-2005

A project by the Swedish women’s organisation Kvinnoforum, sponsored in the European Program against Poverty and Social Exclusion.

The aim is the establishment of a Germany-wide network against violence in the name of honour. In addition, three full-day meetings took place including representatives from politics, schools, police, youth offices and counselling organisations. Further, there were expert conferences in Stockholm, Utrecht, Glasgow and Cyprus.

Additionally, further education courses about violence in the name of honour were held in Berlin for the Berlin police and staff of the Berlin Anti-violence projects.
