Groove Choir Spring Concert in Support of PAPATYA

News

With a joyful mix of pop, soul and jazz the choir offered not only an enjoyable evening for the 150 guests but also “sang” a donation of €1300 in support of the Papatya crisis centre’s work – a double joy! The donation enables the purchase of the essentials that girls and young women need, if they run away from home without anything. In addition, one or another leisure activity can be financed.

And sometimes a young woman needs a return ticket, to get back to Germany, after the alleged “holiday trip” with her parents turns out to be a planned forced marriage,´. In the foyer the employees of Papatya showed the premiere of their short film on the topic of forced marriage and abduction that had just been completed.
